Amadeus by Peter Shaffer, directed by Oliver Driver, starring Ross McCormack and Michael Hurst, until Saturday 20 May, Auckland Theatre Company, ASB Waterfront Theatre, Auckland.

Don Giovanni Overture

Those first two chords alone are worth the price of entry. Heavy metal.

Ah Tutti Contenti

This is simply one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard. The way the melody suspends and resolves itself in unexpected ways never fails to delight.

String Quartet 19

Known as the “Dissonance” quartet – the name speaks for itself really, and I do love a good crunchy harmony.
