We welcome students to a day of digital delight with these two eye-popping digital experiences.

Showcasing some of the most ingenious, creative, boundary-pushing tech in the world, the New Zealand Festival’s Future Playground is a total immersion experience. In Future Playground, multimedia and digital artists from the United States, Turkey and Canada transform code into a thing of wonder and delight. Students can “shake it off” with the Pop n’ Lock Dance Machine, dive into a child-friendly Virtual Adventure Room, lose all perspective in the Infinity Room and more. This is digital storytelling at its most inventive, with an amazing, bedazzling experience around every corner. More than just screens, this is pure artful inspiration where you make the magic. Come and play.

Next door at Capital E, students can get hands-on and explore immersive Virtual Realities under the guidance of expert tutors in a special one-hour VR taster. Come and build new worlds and explore how Virtual Realities are made. Students will sculpt and shape virtual objects in digital environments, paint with sparks and fire, and raise mountains under their feet – all with 360-degree views.
