Brannavan Gnanalingam’s fifth novel, Sodden Downstream, explores inequality and the migrant experience, as a Sri Lankan cleaner struggles across a flood-ravaged Wellington to keep her job. It has been shortlisted for the 2018 Ockham Awards.
